WHOA!! This Chardonnay from Austria (!!) is superb and made in a French style. It is smooth, clean, beautifully balanced with wonderful fruit notes, acidity with good depth and a long finish.
2008 DOMAINE MENARD COLUMBARD SAUVIGNON-COTES DU GASCON-FRANCE
The Columbard (50%) shows a powerful bouquet of exotic fruit, vivacity and freshness aided by the crispness of the SAUVIGNON grape (50%). Hints of spice and pear mingle with a peachiness on the finish. Seafood, roast chicken or by itself.
2008 DOMAINE DE PAJOT QUARTRE CEPAGES COTES DE GASCON-FRANCE.
The four “Musketeer” grapes (Columbard, Ugni Blanc, Gros-Manseng and Sauvignon Blanc are different and complimentary. Each presents a specific aromatic and taste sensation of citrus and exotic fruit. Fish, white meats, mild cheeses and seafood as well as alone.
2008 CH. DES TOURES SAUVIGNON BLANC-COTES DE BORDEAUX-FRANCE

2008 BARON DE HOEN PINOT BLANC-ALSACE, FRANCE
This 100% Pinot Blanc is a rich, well-balanced and refined white wine with ripe fruit aromas and flavors and a lingering finish. Enjoy with salads and appetizers, asparagus, cold meats, poultry and fish dishes. Absolutely lovely by itself.
2008 TABURNO FALANGHINA-ITALY
STOP!! An amazing wine from east of Naples, Italy. Simply one of the best white wines tasted this summer. First you will inhale delightful floral aromas. Then you will imbibe a smooth and elegant wine with vibrant pear and other fruit tastes. Match with seafood, vegetarian dishes and white meats. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. A NORMAN FAVORITE.
2008 SALVENAL ALBARINO RIAS BAXIS-SPAIN
The Albarino grape is full of personality. This wine is racy and zesty with citrus and floral flowers and round and soft at the same time. Fresh seafood, salads, spicy Asian cuisine, sushi and fine as an aperitif. A REAL BARGAIN!
2008 HELFRICH GEWURZTRAMINER-ALSACE, FRANCE
Alsace is a region of France which produces world class wines of great flavor and complexity. The winemaker created a wine with flavor, intensity and finesse that displays aromas of rose petals and spice, followed by ripe mango notes with a supple and long spicy finish. Food matches include curried monkfish, lamb dishes, Indian cuisine and spiced poached pears topped with Jenni’s poached pear sorbet (YUM!). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY NORMAN.
2008 GERARD BOYLAY SANCERE-CHAVIGNOL, FRANCE
This is one of the very finest estates “to be found in Sancere home to the most profound Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate the wine is medium-full, crisp with a good core of acidity, lovely focus and detail and a fine length and grip on the racy and pure finish.” This wine will continue to evolve in the bottle. 90 Rating, WINE ADVOCATE. Seafood anyone?
