Churchill’s is proud to offer a wide selection of traditional and certified organic produce.
Our extensive experience in the food and grocery industry allows us to draw from a variety of growers and distributors, as we strive to bring you the best quality of fresh produce around. We feature seasonal selections, exotic options and locally sourced specialties year-round. Our stores have also begun to offer fresh ground nut butters, from both peanuts and cashews, and fresh pressed juices, made right there in our store without additives or preservatives.
The secret to Churchill’s fresh produce is that we buy directly from local farms and producers whenever possible, and work cooperatively with a number of local distributors. From Toledo grown Apples to fresh Michigan Blueberries, our local communities are incredible resources for a variety of fresh, locally produced fruits and vegetables. Our goal is highlight the food and agriculture that make this such an incredible place to live, while providing our customers with a variety of exceptionally fresh produce regardless of the season. We believe that the more support we can give those local producers by featuring their products on our shelves, the stronger our community and local growers will be.
Offering Certified Organic Produce
Churchill’s is also committed to bringing our customers a variety of certified organic produce, and with over 45 varieties in each of our stores now and more coming every day, we are proud to offer one of the biggest selections in the area. Stop by our store today to see what new organic produce we have available, or ask one of our produce managers about the difference between organic and non-certified produce.
Walt Churchill Market has begun partnering with some local chefs and business owners that share our belief in high quality local produce and gourmet food, while featuring some of the incredible things that Toledo has to offer. Scott Bowman, Owner and Executive Chef at Fowl and Fodder in Sylvania, is one of the most talented restauranteurs to hit Toledo in years, with a fresh take on local farm to table food, fusing American staples with exotic flavors. We’re excited to be working with him to showcase some of our seasonal local produce. Check out this video to see one of Toledo’s master chefs in action, right here in Walt Churchill’s Maumee location.
